As of the 1881 census, Arthur was living at home with his mother and many of his other brothers and sisters.
Arthur's occupation was listed as "Actor Comedian."
Sometime between 1881 and 1883 he married Sidney YOUNG of Newry, Ireland.
Arthur and Sidney had two sons, both born at Eltham, Kent, UK:
Hubert Gordon HOPKIRK, born in early 1884 in Jena, Germany.
Otto Sidney HOPKIRK, probably born in 1886.
On 29 December 1912 Otto Lilia Hopkirk, age 26, married Margaret Sauer or
Saner, age 26, at Christchurch Churh, Wandsworth, Middlesex, London, Surrey.
Father is listed as Arthur Francis Hopkirk.
Hubert's letters say that Otto died in February of 1915, in France, fighting
for the Inniskilling Fusiliers.
