William RECKERT & Christina McGeachy

William RECKECT was born about 1891, the son Joseph RECKERT and Sabina KOBERLEIN

Christina was born about 1892, the daughter of Francis McGeachy(born about 1858). The McGeahy's arrive in the USA in 1894.

From the 1920 census we find this family living at 123 Vernon Avenue, District 3, Queens Assembly District 1, Queens, New York.

The census was taken on the 13 January 1920. They rent their dwelling unit.

William is 29, a Policeman for the Police Department, born in New York and his parents were both born in New York

Christopher, age 28, his wife, born in Scotland, her parents were both born in the Ireland.

Mary, a daughter, age 5 (She basically raised the family, when her mother was not able to)

Eleanor, a daughter age 2 & 11/12 (a beautiful woman, she was a hat model for Sak's 5th Ave.) (married a man named Walter)

Joseph, a son, age 1 & 6/12 (married a girl named Margaret)

Also living in the residence were Francis McGeachy, Christina's brother and Francis McGeachy(age41), Christina's father(age 62).

From the 1930 census, the family is still at the same location, but William has left the family and moved to Staten Island. He was about 6 feet tall.
