Alfred was known "Unkie Alf." to his nieces and nephews.
Alfred was an excellent athlete, and was good at any sport he tried, including tennis. When he played doubles, he and his partner, Elvira Baiocchi Pretorius, usually won.
Alfred Paul Pretorius passed away on 24 March 1994 in South Africa.
