Robert HOBKIRK married Sarah CHRISTER at St. John's, Newcastle on 19 March 1827. Sarah was born about 1807 at Wallsend.
(Robert's brother Charles also married a woman with the last name of CHRISTER. Are they sisters?)

On the 1841 census, William christened in 1830 is not listed. He must have passed away.
On the 1851 census, Mary Ann is living with her Uncle David Thomas HOBKIRK as a servant.
