Anna HOPKIRK was the fourth child of William HOPKIRK and Jane REDPATH

Anna was born on 30 May 1840 in Ohio, probably near Stuebenville, Ohio. Anna passed away on 18 December 1911 in Sheldon, O'Brien, Iowa.  She was buried at Spencer, Clay, Iowa on 20 December 1911.

Per IGI records, Anna married Robert Stamm on 6 November 1865 in Holmes, Ohio.

Robert Stamm was born 14 June 1840, probably in Ohio. Robert died 30 January 1897 in West Holman Township, Osceola, Iowa. He was buried at Holman on February 1, 1897.

Robert STAMM enlisted in the Civil War on 6 May 1861 as a Private, age 21, in Vompany E, 2nd Infantry Regiment Iowa on 28 May 1861.
Promoted to Full Corporal on 23 December 1863. Promoted to Full Sergeant on 1 January 1865.
Mustered Out on 12 July 1865 at Louisville, Kewntucky.

Robert STAMM and Anna HOPKIRK had the following known children:

     William E. STAMM, born about 1867 in Iowa

     Anna Bell STAMM, born about 1870 in Iowa.  Anna married Frank Burton in about 1885.

     Robert E. STAMM, born about 1872 in Iowa
          From the 1920 census Robert was widowed, a Blacksmith living in Holman Township, Osceola, Iowa
          From his WWI draft registration card Robert was a Bartender living in Sibley, Iowa.

     George A. STAMM, born about 1874 in Iowa

     Lillie M. STAMM, born about 1879 in Iowa

     Jane E. Stamm, born about 1884 in Iowa

From the 1885 census, there was also a Benjamin A. Stamm, age 35, living in the household at Holman Township.
