David(7) Hopkirk was the fourth child of John(6) Hopkirk and Jane Nicholson
David was born about 1852
Ida, possibly chrisrtened Lucile, RANEY
was born 14 August 1866. She passed away on 15 Janaury 1922 in
Fairfield, Jefferson County, Iowa.
Ferom the 1905 census we find David, his wife Ida, and their daughter Lois living in Fairfield, Iowa.
In the 1910 census we find the family has moved to Fruitvale, Mesa County, Colorado. They live on a fruit farm and own it free of mortgage. David is 59, born in Iowa and his parents born in Scotland and England. Ida is 43, born in Iowa, her father born in Virginia and her mother born in Ohio. Their daughter Lois is now 8 years old. Also in the residence is Robert E. Greene, age 27, a Carpenter born in New York.
In 1920 they are still in Fruitvale, on Orchard Trail Orchard Avenue Road. David is 69, a fruit farmer, Ida is 53 and Lois is 17
Their daughter Lois married George HENRY
