William Watson HOPKIRK

William Watson HOPKIRK was the son of Robert HOPKIRK & Margaret BALLANTYNE

William was born 17 May 1914 at Windsor, Brisbane, Australia

William was named after his uncle William Watson HOPKIRK. The younger William Watson HOPKIRK was born just one month after the death of his uncle.

This is the younger William Watson HOPKIRK with his mother Margaret Ballantyne HOPKIRK as a newborn.

This is Bill Hopkirk(William Watson Hopkirk)  The photo was taken after he had saved a younger boy, Leslie Crook, from drowning in Breakfast Creek. He was given a bravery award.

Below are the back and front sides of the medallion awarded to Bill in 1922 for saving the life of Leslie Crook.
